Dr. Yuh is a Spine Neurosurgeon at the University of Montreal Hospital Center (CHUM) and an Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Montreal. His extensive training, including a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Calgary and additional specialization in pediatric spine surgery at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, makes him a recognized leader in his field. Dr. Yuh’s expertise in minimally invasive surgery allows him to treat complex spinal conditions with smaller incisions, leading to faster recovery and less pain for his patients.

Dr. Yuh is at the forefront of innovations in spine surgery. Alongside his colleague, Dr. Shédid, he co-developed the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol for spine surgeries at the CHUM. This protocol is designed to improve patient outcomes by reducing pain, shortening hospital stays, and promoting a quicker return to normal activities. Dr. Yuh is highly involved in clinical research, collaborating with the University of Montreal and the CHUM Research Centre (CRCHUM). He has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to two chapters in neurosurgery textbooks. A regular speaker at national and international conferences, Dr. Yuh is also an active member of several Canadian and international neurosurgical associations. He serves on the editorial board of several medical journals, including PLOS ONE and Spine Journal.
